Hello! My name is Terri Smith Asbury. I was born in Fort Bragg North Carolina. When I was around 24 years old I wanted clay dolls and pottery but couldn't afford it so I started teaching myself. Around 32 years ago a Cherokee Friend suggested that I start making Cornhusk Dolls. I fell in love with the medium. I could actually get the results of what I wanted them to be doing much easier. It's recreating the life around me and the stories I've heard so I can share with you.
