The burning of sage is used in a cleansing ritual known as smudging or purification. In theory it means the smoke attachs itself to the negative energy of the area and cleans it so that it becomes positive energy. Two sizes are available. Large bundles are apprpimately 8 1/2 to 9 inches in length and 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches wide. Small bundles are approximately 3.5 inches long and 1 inch wide.
